Our Ideologies

The journey of Sree Sarada Ashrama started from a dilapidated house at 19, Varanasi Ghosh Street. A group of ladies lived there to build up their lives in the way of solidarity with the principles of Sree Ramakrishna, Sree Sree Maa and Swamiji.

A meeting was arranged there on the birth anniversary of Holy Mother to inspire all the woman to accept Sacrifice, Restraint and Service as the main goal of life.

Established in 2009, SSASWA (Sree Sarada Ashrama Social Welfare Association) started its full scale functionality from 2011, with the goal to empower woman and to promote gender equality.

Our main ideologies:

To empower women by strengthening their physical, emotional well-being and economic stability.
To encourage and guide positive health-seeking behaviours with special emphasis on physical, mental, and social well-being.
To educate and empower girl child and youth to lead a healthier and more dignified life and
To promote gender equality and justice.
